Elizabeth Taylor was born in Ireland in c1807.

In c1825 she married Thomas Kelly who was born in Ireland in c1798.

Elizabeth Kelly (nee Taylor) (c1805-?)

The children of Elizabeth and Thomas Kelly:

  1. Robert Kelly (1826-1902). Born in Wicklow, Ireland, in September 1826. He married Mary Ann Delamere (1828-1912). Robert and Mary Ann migrated to Australia from Plymouth, Devonshire, England on 10 June 1851 aboard the ship Reliance. In Australia they became  successful Farmer/Grazier's. Robert died at Powlett Plains, Victoria, Australia, on 21 April 1902 after a bout of pneumonia.
  2. Thomas Kelly (1831-1890). Born in Ireland in 1831. In July 1865 Thomas, along with sister Jane, arrived in Melbourne, Australia, aboard the ship Tornado. Thomas died in Inglewood, Victoria, Australia, on 15 May 1890.
  3. Richard Kelly (c1835-prior to1879). Likely born in Wicklow, Ireland in c1835. He married Bridget Jane Bell (1839-1923) in Calary,  Wicklow, Ireland on 8 April 1858. Richard, in addition to being a farmer, was head game-keeper to Lord Ardilaun in County Galway, Ireland. Richard died in Wicklow, prior to 1879. In October 1891 Bridget, along with some of their children, emigrated to Australia on board the Oroya.
  4. Infant Kelly (c1837-c1837). An infant was born in c1837 and died in infancy.
  5. Elizabeth Kelly (1838-1905). Known as 'Eliza', whe was born in 1838. She married William Sutton (c1825-1901). Elizabeth died in Wicklow, Ireland, on 2 January 1905.
  6. William Kelly (1842-1904). Known as 'James'. William was born in 1842. He died in Wicklow, Ireland, on 15 July 1904.
  7. Jane Kelly (1846-1917). Jane was born in Ballinastoe, Wicklow, Ireland, on 4 May 1846. In July 1865 Jane, along with brother Thomas, arrived in Melbourne, Australia, aboard the ship Tornado. She married James Cocker Walker (1841-?) in Sandhurston [now Bendigo] on 4 November 1873. Jane died at 128 Moran Street, Bendigo, Victoria, Australia on 29 January 1916 and was buried in Bendigo.
  8. Ann Kelly (?-?). Ann married Mr Morscroft.
  9. Maria Kelly (?-?). Maria married Edward Smyth.
  10. John Kelly (?-?).
  11. Sarah Kelly (?-1883). On 25 November 1854 Sarah married Henry Sutton (?-1892) in Calary Parish Church. Their children were Anthony Sutton (1875), Thomas Sutton (1879), Elizabeth Anne Sutton (1877) and Richard Sutton (1881). Sarah died on 12 February 1883 from phthisis (tuberculosis). Henry remarried three months later to Grace Penrose Chapman.

Elizabeth died in Baltinglass, County Wicklow, Ireland in 1889.

Thomas died in Rathdrum, County Wicklow, Ireland in 1871.
