Topic: Visiting Day at Pyes Pa Cemetery by Debbie McCauley

Topic type:

This poem was published in Bravado Magazine in October 2010 (Issue 20, p. 48).

Moss scrubbed from
your memory.
Flowers and talk
follow.

After we wander
amongst others,
once known.

Names in stone,
McCauley, Kelly,
Muir, Garmonsway,
O'Keeffe, Hazelwood.

Some too young, but
here they rest.

Granite soldier
guarding. Tears
at Flanders Fields.
Children play
oblivious.
