Topic: Renee Sells (nee Turner) (1923-1999)

During World War II Renee Turner was in the W.R.A.F. attached to Air Barrage Balloons in the London area, 207 Squadron (RAF). She was my husband's first cousin twice removed - Debbie McCauley.

Renee Turner was born at Gateshead, Tyne & Wear on 28 October 1923. Her parents were Oliver and Florence Dorothy Turner (nee Maddison). 

She married Peter C. Sells at Pontefract, West Yorkshire on 28 October 1946. Peter was born at Ramsgate, Kent, in 1924. Peter was employed by the National Westminster Bank at various branches throughout West Yorkshire before the couple moved to Hitchin, Hertfordshire, where he became a branch manager. They did not have any children.

Both Renee and Peter served in World War II. Renee was in the W.R.A.F. attached to Air Barrage Balloons in the London area. Peter was as a Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in the R.A.F.

Renee Sells died, aged 75, at Hitchin, Hertfordshire on 26 September 1999.
