Ian Thompson 15-044

Ian (Moke) Thompson (pictured head and shoulders). His family were (according to the family story) given a white feather by Richard Seddon's daughter and as a consequence with his brother hurried to join up. Ian was the son of a Petone Minister, a Lawyer, who was killed in the Somme.

 

Alister Thompson  15-043 

Ian (Moke) Thompson (pictured full length). He was an Engineer who was killed in France in 1917. 

Charles Raymond Carter 15-045

Charles Raymond Carter (Max) photographed (Auckland Weekly News) receiving the Military Medal from King George.
MAx enlisted in September 1914 from Cambridge .  Killed in Action September 1918. Mentioned in Burton’s Auckland Regiment book.
