Cyril Leslie Reginald Milne (1917-1942)Cyril Leslie Reginald Milne was born on 9 September 1917. After gaining his School Certificate at Tauranga District High School he did normal training at various camps.

He was posted to Egypt and was part of the Lustre Force.

Later he was posted to the 25th Battalion and was killed in action in Tunisia on 22 April 1942.

Cyril is remembered in Tauranga's Memorial Grove, two rows of totara trees located on Fifteenth Avenue which stand as a memorial to 41 former Tauranga District High School students killed during World War II (1939-1945).
