Tauranga's Memorial Park is home to a cenotaph commemorating those who died during World War II (1939-1945). The memorial is thought to have been built around the early 1950s from dressed stones and is located near the Devonport Road entrance to the park. The memorial carries granite tablets listing the names of 63 local men who had died during World War II. Text and photographs: Debbie McCauley (2014).
