Arthur Alexander Ramsay died at Featherston Military Camp on 17 November 1918 during the 1918 Influenza Pandemic. Story by Debbie McCauley.

Arthur Alexander Ramsay was born in Auckland in 1898 (reg. 1898/14137). His parents were James Black and Elizabeth Deborah Welsh Ramsay (nee Entrican) who married in 1897 (reg. 1897/3755). His mother was known as 'Lizzie'.

Arthur was a Private in the New Zealand Training Unit (Service No. 89500).

He died of broncho pneumonia following influenza in the Military Hospital at Featherston Military Camp on 17 November 1918, aged 20 (reg. 1918/10588). Arthur was buried in Featherston Cemetery.
