Tauranga farmer Frederick Hill Ralph died of his wounds in London on 19 January 1917.

Frederick Hill Ralph was born in Ireland on 6 January 1881.

He was a Boer War veteran and a farmer in Tauranga as well as a member of the Legion of Frontiersman.

He married Evelin and they had two children together:

He enlisted on 6 July 1915 and served with the Otago Mounted Rifles (Service No. 9/1634). His last rank was Corporal.

He died of his wounds ni London on 19 January 1917, aged 36.
