White cross for Duncan Henry James McArthur (1883-1918).

Caption

Duncan Henry James McArthur was in the New Zealand Training Unit at Featherston Military Camp at his time of death from influenza on 19 November 1918 during the 1918 Influenza Pandemic. In 2014 Tauranga's 'Field of Remembrance' was created comprising 107 white crosses in memory of the men from the Tauranga area who died during World War I (1914-1918).
