White cross for Edwin John Plummer (1885-1918).


Omokoroa bushman Edwin John Plummer was killed in action in France on 6 May 1918.  In 2014 Tauranga's 'Field of Remembrance' was created comprising 107 white crosses in memory of the men from the Tauranga area who died during World War I (1914-1918). Each cross carries a red poppy and the name of an individual who died. Text and photograph © Debbie McCauley (2014).
