Elizabeth JefferiesElizabeth was born on the 26th February 1853 at Viney Green Mangotsfield the second child of George Jefferies and Mary nee Moreman .

Elizabeth was baptised on the3rd April 1853 at S James Church Mangotsfield by Rev Robert Brodie

 Elizabeth's  family stayed in Mangotsfield where her  Dad was the Over man  (Supervisor or Manager )in the Parkfield  Coal Mine

 Elizabeth Jefferies  married Alfred Self Silcox on  the 2 October 1870 at Holy Trinity Church Kingswood Bristol .Alfred gives is occupation as a  labourer 

In the 1871 Alfred and Elizabeth are living in Gloster Cottage Clifton  Bristol and his occupation is Labourer on the Docks

The birth certificate of daughter Annie Beatrice in 1877 has the family living at 3 Rownham Place Clifton and Alfred is now listed as a bargeman .

By 1881 census they are now in their own home at 2 James Place Joyhill Clifton Bristol ,.

They family lived in 2 James  Place, Clifton Bristol  for the rest of their life  .

1881 census has Alfred as a labourer

By 1891 Alfred had purchased his own  business ,as a Coal Merchant .This business he had for the rest of his life .

Children of Alfred and Elizabeth are Ellen Louisa Elizabeth b 1871, Alfred Henry William b 1873 ,Sarah Ann Rose b 875 ,Annie Beatrice b 18787,

George Jefferies b1879,Frederick Charles b 1881,Alice Lily b 1882 , Daisy Mary b 1884,Amelia b 1887,Francis Emily  B 1888,Gertie Pricilla

1891, Winifred b1892

Annie Beatrice ,Francis Emily and Amelia went to New Zealand to live

Their home was bombed during air raids in WW2

Elizabeth  died on the 12 June 1943 and is buried beside her husband Alfred  in the Churchyard of St James Mangotsfield
