Tānemahuta went to search for the stars to adorn the chest of Ranginui. Wainui gifted his children as a clock for Ranginui, a sparkling gift. Tāne went on Tamarereti’s waka to the heavens with his kit full of stars. To this day, the stars are still in the sky. So the main questions are, what are the names of these stars and where are these stars? Also what are the stories associated with these stars?
