Scanned copy of a photograph of Frank Gordon Morrow (1892-1969) (12/776) of the Auckland Infantry Battalion (16th Waikato Regiment). Noted with file "Youngest son of Alice and Edward Morrow of Parnel Auckland..Frank served throughout WW1. He was wounded at Gallipoli and was evacuated to Egypt to recover before returning to the front lines (sic – he was returned to NZ). All of his life he was a keen yachtsman and a member of the Royal Akarana Yacht Club in Auckland, and was also a very good tennis player. He was a draughtsman in the Lands and Survey department (sic – actually he worked for the Auckland Gas Works) for 40 years until he retired. At the age of 37 he married Mavyn Kathleen Kelly who he met through playing tennis. They had no children..Frank died in 1969 in Auckland." Acknowledgement Tauranga City Libraries
