Topic: Mount Maunganui Primary School Centenary

Topic type:

On October 18 and 19 2013, Mount Maunganui Primary School celebrated 100 years since first opening in 1913.

Centenary celebration cake

A weekend-long, school-wide birthday party was held involving all current students, as well as some past pupils and teachers.

This was followed by wine and cheese in the school hall which displayed photos through the eras, artefacts and other reminders of all the good times at Mount Primary.

Saturday began mid morning and saw the school open for those attending to have a look through the classrooms and gather to reminisce about life at Mount Primary throughout the last 100 years.
