The Crafty Pukeko on site at the Tauranga Rudolf Steiner School in 2008. This cottage houses the Crafty Pukeko, the craft shop of the Tauranga Rudolf Steiner School. The building was donated to the school by Riverlee Homes in 2000 and firstly located next to the Cowshed. In 2004 it was relocated with the help of a crane during a school working bee to move the ‘Whakatane Hotel Accommodation’ building on site. The shop is co-ordinated by Jocelyn Fiefield and staffed by volunteers. Stock includes Waldorf crafts, toys, paints, crayons, musical instruments and books. The profit from the shop provides funds for various school projects. Photo: Debbie McCauley (2008).
