Through the eyes of a Māori warrior

What are their weapons?

What is their plan?

I’m angry, proud and ready to fight.

Gun powder, dead bodies, blood, loud gun shots,

screams and soldiers crying for help.

We are strong.

Different languages and different clothes.

If I die I know I tried my hardest.

Through the eyes of a British soldier

Loud chanting.

I’m scared, frightened, nervous and petrified.

I feel threatened and anxious.

My heart’s pounding.

I’m wondering when to charge.

What are they saying?

Where are their shoes?

I want to make my country proud.
